Unlike many fields of law, the work we do does not involve time-intensive tasks that can be delegated productively to young and inexperienced lawyers. Instead, it requires a mastery of complex substantive law, extensive practical experience, and an intimate knowledge of the client and its business. It's like the difference between painting the Brooklyn Bridge and painting the Mona Lisa. Depth, in the sense of a high lawyer body count, is not merely unhelpful in our work; we believe it is counterproductive for the client.

Fortunately, in today's world, small does not mean unsophisticated.
